Wild Thai Black
A black tea from untamed mountain forests—lively and rich with hints of black cherry and cinnamon

Our partnering farmers work in harmony with nature, cultivating seed-grown broadleaf assamica tea trees amongst native trees, herbs, wildflowers, birds and beneficial insects. The soils are naturally enriched by plant matter, grazing cattle and the seasonal monsoon, eliminating the need for synthetic inputs.
The rich soils of Doi Chiang Dao feed deep-reaching roots that produce polyphenol- and tannin-rich leaves, contributing to Wild Thai Black’s ruby red liquor and impressive complexity. It’s the cup you reach for when you want something with a bit more kick than your typical colonial heritage tea. Brew it strong and sip it as an alternative to espresso.

Once part of a greater Dai Kingdom that spanned the regions of Burma, Yunnan, and parts of Laos, Northern Thailand is part of a rich history of tea culture that has brought Chinese tea practices and traditions to the area. My search in finding my perfect morning tea stopped with my first sip of Rishi's Wild Thai Black. This has become my favorite tea after trying so many other teas locally, during travels and across the internet. I love starting my day with a cup or two and know when i am running low there is no need to panic because Rishi's is great at shipping out orders quickly and has earned my trust over the years with their consistent quality teas.

The flavor is strong but pleasant. It is also reliable from batch to batch which is not always the case in my experience with teas from this region. Multiple brews are possible and so a hot cup in the morning and chilled or iced tea later in the day can all be prepared in the morning. It infuses well from paper sachets for use when traveling.

My very favorite black tea. Big and bold. No added flavorings, pure delicious black tea. I brew it strong and drink with half and half.

Outrageous quality makes the best Arnold Palmer. You could imagine with fresh squeeze lemonade.
